Description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nursing)

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for the float pool will be primarily focused on providing care for patients within a fast-paced and demanding environment. This role involves tending to boarder patients, which may include individuals from medical-surgical, stepdown, or intensive care units. Additionally, the RN may be required to float to various acute units as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Assist with patient assessment, triage, and treatment protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and manage patients’ conditions, providing timely interventions as needed.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately and promptly.
  • Float to acute units within the facility as needed to support staffing needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma facility.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional nursing practice.

Location

Position available in a busy Emergency Department located in a vibrant city in the state.
