Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 49
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Staffing: 1 Unit Secretary, 5 PCTs on Days / 3 PCTs on Nights
• Type of Equipment: Welch Allen / Dynamap VS machines, bladder scanner, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, wound vacs
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 12-hour shifts, 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule period
• Floating Policy: Follows facility policy

Patient Experience

We prioritize personal connections with our patients through AIDET principles, bedside shift reports, and hourly rounding.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Must possess a valid RN license in Missouri
• Certifications: BLS required
• Skills:
  • IV insertions
  • Foley catheter management
  • External urinary catheters
  • Wound care
  • Post-operative care
  • Tracheostomy care
  • NG tube and feeding tube management

Dress Code

Required uniform includes a navy blue scrub top, navy or black scrub pants, and optional undershirt or scrub jacket (must be navy, white, or black). Sweatshirts and track jackets are not permitted.

Work Schedule

Full-time commitment with 48 hours guaranteed per week, starting December 14.
