General Information

This position is located in Montgomery, AL, and is part of a facility that includes 492 beds. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III NICU, as well as a Primary Stroke Center.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform various CT procedures including biopsies, drainage, trauma scans, and angiograms.
• Provide expertise in stroke perfusion, which is strongly preferred.
• Work collaboratively with two other CT technicians and an assistant per shift.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment, primarily GE systems.
• Document all procedures and patient interactions in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, specifically Cerner.

Qualifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for all staff.
• Required: ARRT certification; ARRT-CT specialization is also required.
• State license preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is acceptable for travelers; however, first-time travelers must possess at least 2 years of experience with required skills.

Patient Care Information

• Patient Types: Inpatient and outpatient services for adult patients, with occasional pediatric outpatient and emergency department care.
• Patient Ratios: Average of 4 patients per hour, equating to approximately 40 patients per day.

Scheduling and Orientation

• Orientation consists of one 8-hour hospital orientation followed by 2-3 shifts on the unit, typically day shifts with another tech.
• Expectations for holiday scheduling include one major and one minor holiday per seasonal policy, though exact dates cannot be guaranteed prior to arrival.
• Weekend rotations are typically once a month but may change based on departmental needs.
