Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a travel opportunity. This position requires essential competencies in patient care within a medical-surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
• Monitor patient health status and perform assessments to identify and address health issues.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and progress using the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families about health management and self-care methods.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a duration of approximately 13 weeks.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, specifically Cerner.
• A permanent residence located at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Additional Information

This role may involve floating to different units as needed, adapting to dynamic patient care requirements. The facility currently has a significant number of beds dedicated to various medical and surgical needs.
