Description
Position Overview
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care, specifically designed for the Float Pool. The RN will provide care across all Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) floors, primarily serving a cardiac population.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care with a staffing ratio of 1:3-4.
- Administer care for patients with conditions such as STEMI, NSTEMI, and chest pain.
- Utilize cardiac drips, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors as necessary.
- Occasionally care for telemetry patients with lower acuity levels when assigned.
- Document patient information accurately using the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar size facility.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Ability to float between different units as needed with minimal request time off (RTO).
