Position Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in critical patient care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 10
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Unit Staffing: Total Care Support with unit secretaries and tech availability.
• Equipment: Alaris IV Pump, GE Bedside Monitors, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella.
• Documentation System: Meditech.
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts/week, including 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.
• Floating Policy: May involve floating to Medical ICU and Floor Units.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS and BLS.
• Experience: Must have telemetry, pressor, positive inotropes, pacemaker, chest tube, catheter/electrophysiology lab recovery, pericardial drains, and frequent site/vital sign assessments experience.
• Advanced Skills: Experience with procedures such as open heart procedures and ECMO cannulation is preferred.

Dress Code

Royal Blue Scrubs are required.
