Description
Location: Nashville, TN
Unit Overview
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Unit Staffing Description:
- Student nurse externs available as techs
- Unit secretary available Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Type of Equipment: Hill-Rom beds, Phillips telemetry monitors
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: 4-week schedules, requiring 3-4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- Floating Policy: Float as needed to units where required based on unit census
Position Requirements
- Must have significant cardiac experience and strong critical care proficiency
- Advanced Skills Preferred:
- PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
- IABP
- Impella
- CRRT
- Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Central line insertion
- Swan insertion
- Intubations
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
Dress Code
- Scrubs (galaxy blue, red, black)
- Scrub jackets or vests only
