Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 12
- Patient Ratios: ICU patients 2:1; Med/surg and PCU patients 4:1
- Unit Staffing Description: Charge RN, RNs, PCT
- Type of Equipment: Ventilators, specialty beds, occasionally CRRT
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule (schedules are 4 weeks)
- Floating Policy: Contract labor floats first
- Patient Experience Requirements: Med/surg experience
Certifications Required
- BLS
- ACLS
Dress Code
Required uniform: Navy scrubs
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
- General Qualifications: Experience in a critical care setting is essential.
- Advanced Skills: Candidates should exhibit proficiency in advanced nursing skills relevant to the burn unit.
- Procedures Performed: Applicants must be familiar with the procedures typically performed in a burn care setting.
