Position Overview

This travel nursing position offers an opportunity to support medical-surgical patients in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Med Surg nursing and be comfortable working night shifts.

Key Details

• Start Date: Immediately
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred; however, candidates who are in the process of obtaining ACLS are welcome to apply.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience is required.
• Must have a permanent residence located more than 50 miles from the facility.

Additional Information

• Willingness to float to other units may be required based on facility needs.
• Ability to accommodate 48 hours per week scheduling requests.
