Position Overview
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a medical surgical setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient care, possess the necessary qualifications, and work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Job Details

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Responsibilities
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients.
- Monitoring and assessing patient conditions to ensure effective treatment.
- Administering medications and providing education to patients and their families.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Documenting patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a current license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (pending acceptance if obtained prior to start).
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR.
- Permanent residence located over 50 miles from the facility.
Additional Information
- This position may require floating to other units as necessary.
- Accommodations for 48-hour work week scheduling requests are available.
- The facility contains a specified number of patient beds.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting is required.
