Position Overview
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a dedicated professional who is committed to delivering safe and effective nursing care to patients.
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and administer medications as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting any changes in status.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist in performing diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and post-hospital care.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS certifications required.
- Prior experience in a medical surgical setting.
- Proficiency with Cerner or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Permanent address must be located 50 or more miles from the facility.
Additional Information
- Willingness to float to other units as needed.
- Accommodations for scheduling requests of 48 hours per week are available.
- The facility has a specific dress code and scrub colors, which will be communicated upon hire.
- Parking arrangements will be provided upon onboarding.
