Unit Information

Location: City, State

This unit specializes in providing comprehensive care for mothers before, during, and after delivery. The facility operates with the following specifications:

• Number of Beds: 15 labor beds, 3 OR suites, 4 triage beds, 3 Preop/PACU beds
• Staffing: 55 total staff members, including secretaries, assistant nurse managers, relief charge nurses, and operating room technicians
• Shift Details: Day Shift – 30 staff, Night Shift - 25 staff
• Patient Ratios: 2:1, 1:1 if on Pitocin, 3 or 4:1 for APU and Triage
• Equipment Used: Electronic Fetal Monitors (EFM) with Toco, Ultrasound, pulse oximeters, blood pressure cables, NOVI
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

We are looking for qualified candidates to fill the role, with the following requirements:

• Mandatory Certifications:
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Intrapartum Electronic Fetal Monitoring (IEFM)
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Registered Nurse Certified in Obstetrics (RNC-OB)
  • Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)

• C-sections
• Cerclage placement and removal
• Intrauterine Pressure Catheter (IUPC)
• Fetal Scalp Electrode (FSE)

Dress Code

The required scrub color for the unit is royal blue. Please adhere to the established dress code policy.
