Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Radiology team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing conscious sedation, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient vitals during interventional procedures.
- Chart patient care and maintain accurate medical records using EPIC.
- Circulate and assist during interventional radiology procedures such as stroke thrombectomy, embolizations, biopsies, and line insertions.
- Provide pre and post-procedure patient education and support.
- Coordinate with the interventional team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Experience with moderate sedation is essential.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist colleagues as needed.
- Familiarity with EPIC and Philips Xper (Hemo) systems is preferred.
Work Environment:
- The department operates two labs with an average of 5-10 cases per day.
- Hours include a mix of 10-hour and 8-hour shifts, with scheduling posted 17 days in advance for six-week periods.
- On-call rotation includes weeknight, weekend, and holiday requirements.
Additional Information:
- Orientation duration: One week of classroom and lab training.
- Proper scrub color and dress code will be provided.
- Lockers are available; please bring your own lock and designated hospital shoes.
