Patient Population
The Progressive Care unit specializes in the management of patients with:
- Sepsis
- Heart Failure
- Hypertensive Emergency
- Respiratory Failure
- COPD
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
- Substance Abuse
- Encephalopathy
Role Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Administering medications and heparin drips
- Monitoring patient vitals and conditions
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Documenting patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- 2 years of nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
