Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a high-volume emergency department. This position is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment while applying advanced nursing skills and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborative care planning.
• Utilize advanced technology and equipment to assess and treat patients.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately using Cerner.
• Adapt to various patient needs and department requirements as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting.
• Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• Must possess current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to starting.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team and mentor colleagues.
• Flexibility and willingness to work in all areas of the emergency department.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 101
• Typical Patient Ratios: 4:1, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Shifts: Every other weekend required; must be adaptable to department scheduling needs.
