Job Description

Travelers not currently holding an active State of Hawaii license must apply for it upon acceptance of an offer. Candidates must possess a valid Hawaii License by the start of the assignment.

Please note that no requests for time off will be granted during the first 13 weeks of the contract.

Individuals will be required to show proof of flu vaccination or an approved application for a medical or religious exception before the start date. The flu vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.

Licensure

A current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer is required.

Certification

Certification as a radiologic technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography is mandatory, along with a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

General Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in an acute hospital setting. Responsibilities include:

• Scanning per radiologist protocols
• Performing routine CT scans independently

Preferred experience includes:

• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience with Canon/Toshiba CT units
• Utilization of Vitrea workstation
• Venipuncture skills
• Performing MIP, MPR, and 3D imaging
• Procedures such as biopsies or drainages
• Knowledge in vascular or cardiac imaging, trauma, or stroke management
