Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a telemetry environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and telemetry, specifically in a CCU or high-level telemetry setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, particularly with titratable drips.
- Utilize advanced respiratory support techniques, including Bi-PAP and long-term ventilation.
- Assist in the management of acute and chronic conditions of patients in critical care settings.
- Float to IMCU and Med/Surg units as necessary based on staffing needs.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in CCU or high-level telemetry.
- Proficiency in managing titratable drips and understanding cardiac rhythms.
- Strong nursing skills in a critical care environment, with an emphasis on cardiac care.
Preferred Experience
- Over 5 years of experience, including IMCU and CCU backgrounds.
License and Certification Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Work Schedule
- Night shift – 12 hours starting at 19:00.
- Every other weekend required.
- Holidays as needed.
Orientation
12 hours of orientation will be provided, with 6 hours being non-billable.
