Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in cardiac catheterization procedures and possess the necessary certifications. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of cases, providing essential care to our patients.

Shift Details

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Shift Length: 10 or 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Days: Flexible, with willingness to participate in block scheduling on weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing cardiac catheterizations, including coronary, peripheral, vascular, and neuro interventions.
• Collaborate with a team of medical professionals, including RNs who administer conscious sedation during procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamics and manage procedural equipment.
• Participate in on-call schedules for inpatient and emergent cases as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of fluoroscopy during procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a catheterization lab setting.
• Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS, and Fluoroscopy certification.
• Candidates with RCIS or CCT certifications will not be considered.
• Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation protocols, airway management, and cardiac drips (such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors).

Unit Environment

• Facility has 5 suites: 2 for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular and neuro cases, and 1 for electrophysiology cases.
• Average of 10-22 cases performed daily.
• Team typically consists of 2 techs per case, with the potential for an additional staff member depending on case requirements.
