Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CVOR Technologist to join our dynamic team. This role involves working within the Cardiovascular Operating Room, supporting a variety of surgical procedures with a focus on cardiovascular, orthopedic, general, ENT, urology, and vascular cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the ability to adapt to different specialties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CABG, vascular surgery, and lung surgeries.
• Support general OR activities when not engaged in CVOR procedures.
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties as required, responding within the designated response time.
• Complete departmental orientation and training to ensure familiarity with procedures and protocols.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist or in a related role.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Proficient in handling open-heart procedures and general OR experiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

• Location: Cardiovascular Operating Room.
• Unit Composition: 11 surgical suites with an average of 18 cases per day.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a consistent weekly schedule. Some on-call and weekend responsibilities are required.
• Dress Code: Scrubs are provided, and adherence to fingernail policies is required.

Candidates must be willing to float to general OR duties as needed and comply with all departmental policies.
