Job Summary

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and, preferably, certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). You should be adept at operating the MRI machine efficiently, ensuring patient comfort before and during scanning procedures, and coordinating with physicians to facilitate timely receipt of results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide effective diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to enhance their comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in MRI technology.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience with GE scanners is mandatory for consideration.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
• Certification through the ARRT is required.
• Injection certification is mandatory for consideration.
• Valid NYS Radiologic Technology license or willingness to obtain one after starting.

Work Schedule

This position involves working Sunday to Thursday from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, with responsibilities for holidays and on-call support as needed.
