Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. You will be responsible for operating the MRI machine effectively, ensuring patient comfort during the scanning procedure, and collaborating with physicians to deliver timely diagnostic results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure their comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
• Document all procedures while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with GE MRI scanners is required.
• Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is necessary.
• Must hold injection certification.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license is required and must be obtained after starting.

Work Schedule

This position is scheduled for Monday to Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM EST. Flexible availability for holidays, on-call duties, and callbacks may be required based on unit needs.
