Registered Nurse (RN) - OR Circulator

Job Description

An opportunity exists for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience as an OR Circulator to join our team. This role requires expertise in facilitating surgical procedures with a focus on orthopedics, OB/Gyn (including C-sections), and general surgery.

Responsibilities

• Act as the OR circulator to support surgical teams and patients.
• Manage the flow of patients through the operating room environment.
• Coordinate and liaise between surgical teams to ensure procedural efficiency.
• Maintain composure and efficiency while addressing unexpected challenges in the surgical setting.
• Potential to float to procedural areas such as pain management and interventional radiology as required.

Schedule Details

• Work Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts with a variable start time.
• On-call responsibilities are required, covering weekends from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM.
• Holidays required in rotation.
• 8 on-call shifts per month, including some weekends.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of OR circulator experience is required, specifically in orthopedics, OB/Gyn, and general surgery.
• Experience in an OR setting is preferred, with at least 2 years being ideal.
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.
• EPIC experience is highly preferred.
• New graduates are not accepted for this position.
• Current Kansas RN license required.
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required.

Additional Information

• Locals residing within a 60-mile radius will be expected to consider permanent conversion.
• This is a nicotine-free facility.
• Patients and staff may expect two cancellations per month with at least a two-hour notice.
