Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide care for patients ages 18 and up who require intensive symptom management at the end of life, as well as general medicine overflow. Advanced IV skills, wound care expertise, and strong assessment abilities are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.
• Manage end-of-life care effectively, advocating for patients who may have difficulty communicating their needs.
• Perform wound care and administer medications, including patient-controlled analgesia pumps.
• Support families in crisis situations, offering compassion and guidance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• Two years of recent experience in palliative care or acute medical/surgical nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification highly desired.

Schedule

This position offers 36 or 48-hour rotating shifts during days, evenings, and nights, including weekends and holidays based on unit needs.
