Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), particularly for the Inpatient Observation Unit. This is a fast-paced environment where you will encounter varying patient acuity. You may also be required to float to other areas based on the needs of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit, managing medical and trauma overflow beds.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in coordination with the healthcare team.
- Monitor and respond to changing patient conditions and acuity levels.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in educational initiatives and maintain professional development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar specialty within an acute care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
