Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess specialized experience in cardiac procedures within an acute care setting. Below are the responsibilities and qualifications associated with this role.

General Information

• Location: Puyallup, WA
• Facility Type: Level III Trauma Center
• Bed Count: 375 licensed beds
• Call Schedule: 1-2 nights a week and every 4th weekend

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Collaborate with a team to manage cases including LHC/RHC, NSTEMI, STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs, and peripheral interventions.
• Assist with electrophysiology (EP) cases such as Micra, pacemaker insertions, and lead extractions.
• Scrub and operate during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patients during procedures and recovery as needed.

Required Licensure & Certifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• ARRT or RCIS License
• State of Washington License

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, or 2+ years if the candidate is a first-time traveler.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and operating C-arm equipment preferred.

Additional Information

• Orientation: Includes a structured training program during the first week.
• Scheduling: Flexibility in shifts, including potential weekday and weekend rotations, with a 30-minute response time for on-call duties.
• Support on the Unit: Access to a scheduler, charge nurse, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and intensivists for enhanced team support.
• Scrub Color: Provided by the facility, with options available for extended sizing.
• Parking: Free garage parking available.
