General Information
Beds: 56
- Minimum Experience Required: 1 year for PCU RN and Tele RN.
- Previous permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- Travelers must reside at least 100 miles away from any facility.

- CHF
- ARF
- Hepatitis
- ESLD
- DM
- DKA
- Pneumonia
- Sepsis
- GI Bleed
- Syncope
- Chest Pain
- Pulmonary Emboli
- Respiratory Failure

- Arrhythmias
- Seizure Disorders
- Overdose
- Delirium Tremors
Patient Ratios
- RN:
- PCU/Tele - 1:4 (Days & Nights)
- Med/Surg - 1:5 (Days & Nights)
- CNA: 1:8 (Days & Nights)
Required Certifications
- RN: BLS, ACLS
- LPN: BLS required; ACLS preferred
- CNA: Certified CNA; BLS not required
Required Education
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) designation preferred.
Skills Required
- For PCU RN:
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV starts
- Blood product administration
- CIWA, drain/tube management
- Catheter insertion/management
- Insulin drips (both DKA and non-DKA)
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- Chest tube maintenance
- Effective communication, strong clinical judgement, professional bedside manner, and teamwork
- For Tele RN:
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV starts
- Blood product administration
- CIWA, drain/tube management
- Catheter insertion/management
- Insulin drips (non-DKA only)
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- Chest tube maintenance
- Effective communication, strong clinical judgement, professional bedside manner, and teamwork
Support on the Unit
- CNA (Ratio: 1:8 for both Days & Nights)
- Charge Nurse: Yes - 2 for the unit (free-floating), available 24/7
- Phlebotomy: Yes, 24/7 for peripheral blood draws only
- IV/VAT Team: No
- Resource Nurse: Yes, as staffing allows
- Respiratory Therapy: Yes, available 24/7
- Hospitalist: Yes, available 24/7 in-house
- Centralized Tele Monitoring: 24/7 support for Tele reading and alarm notifications
