About the Facility

The facility is a 492-bed Level I Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and serves as a Primary Stroke Center. It welcomes first-time travelers with a minimum of 18 months of experience in MedSurg and/or ICU, with required experience in EPIC or Cerner.

  • Patient Types: MS/Oncology patients, high acuity cases
  • Skills Required: Trach care, chest tubes, PEG tubes, wound care, chemotherapy administration if certified
• 3 South Orthopedics

Role Responsibilities

RNs are expected to maintain a high standard of patient care with a typical patient ratio of 1:4. Responsibilities include patient turning, assisting with daily activities, IV therapy, and effective communication with the healthcare team. Telemetry experience is a plus, as RNs will be required to interpret telemetry strips regularly.

Orientation and Scheduling

Travelers who are new to the facility or have been away for more than a year will undergo a comprehensive orientation consisting of 24 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of clinical training. Schedules will include a weekend rotation every other week or four weekend days per month, with specific holiday expectations outlined in the facility policy.

Support Services

• CNA Ratio: 1:10-12 for vital signs, ADLs, and glucose checks
• Charge Nurse: Yes, who rarely takes assignments
• Phlebotomy and IV Teams: Available on-site
• Telemetry Monitoring Tech: Assists with reading telemetry strips

Required Certifications
