Multi-Modality Technologist

General Information

We are seeking a skilled Multi-Modality Technologist to join our healthcare team. The role involves operating various imaging machines including CT, MRI, and X-ray, with a focus on patient care and technical proficiency.

Equipment Types

• CT: Siemens 64 slice Perspective with Bracco power injector and CT fluoro
• MRI: 1.5T Siemens Altea with Bracco power injector
• X-ray: Carestream portable X-ray, GE/OEC C-arms, GE XR646 X-ray room, GE Discovery RF180 Fluoroscopy/X-ray system

Required Certifications

• MRI Tech: BLS, ARRT-MRI
• Rad Tech/CT Tech: BLS, ARRT-R required

Required Education

Candidates must have graduated from a Radiology Program enabling them to sit for the ARRT certification in Radiography and advanced certification in Computed Tomography.

Skills Required

• MRI Tech: Independent working skills, screening patients, correct selection and application of coils, contrast dosing based on patient body weight, competency in starting IVs, alignment of scan field, and parameter selection for anatomy and protocols.
• CT Tech: Independent working skills, competency in starting IVs, contrast dosing, protocol and scan field selection for anatomy of interest, image reconstruction, and reformats for interpretation.
• Rad Tech: Independent working skills, competency in positioning for general x-ray procedures, fluoroscopy, c-arm operation, and the use of shielding.

Charting Systems

• EPIC
• Sectra PACS system

Floating Requirements

Floating may be required to nearby clinics, including an Orthopedic Clinic, Family Practice/Urgent Care clinic, or a low-volume Family Practice Clinic.

Orientation and Scheduling

Orientation will consist of one week of comprehensive training. The standard shift is from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. Weekend shifts are scheduled either from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Weekend rotation occurs every fourth or fifth week.
