Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our family-centered, multidisciplinary Maternity Unit. This role involves providing comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience. You will work collaboratively within a diverse and supportive team to deliver exceptional care that meets the physical, emotional, and educational needs of every family.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Support patient safety, education, and promote positive birth experiences.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff.
• Float to Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as needed.
• Maintain a nurse to patient ratio of 1:3, which may vary.

Schedule

• Required to work at least 1-2 weekends per month.
• No holiday shifts required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Proficient in postpartum care, baby care, and antepartum care including monitoring.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
• Fetal monitoring experience is required (certificate not necessary).

Unit Information

The Maternity Unit consists of a total of 32 beds serving a diverse urban population, including children, adults, and older adults from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
