Description
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Nurse with substantial experience in both the Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The nurse will be responsible for the primary care of patients in the ER and ICU and may also assist in other nursing units as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ER and ICU.
- Assist as needed on other nursing units, but not serve as the primary nurse.
- Expedite processes on various nursing floors.
- Offer support by sitting with patients and assisting with transport.
- Monitor telemetry and other vital signs.
- Participate as a member of the rapid response and code blue teams when necessary.
Work Schedule
This position requires 12-hour shifts during evenings and nights, totaling 72-80 hours every two weeks.
Holiday Coverage
Holiday coverage will be required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ER and ICU settings.
- Current certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
