Scheduling Requirements
- 36 hours/week with occasional optional overtime
- Variable weekends
- Willingness to take standby/call if low census preferred
Floating Policy
Floating to mother-baby as a tech is not required but may occur if desired (occasional need only).
Patient Experience Requirements
Level III or IV NICU experience is required.
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE (Sugar and Safe Airway Breathing) Certification
Hiring Profile
- Requested Skill Set: Level III or IV NICU skill set required.
- Minimum Experience: One year of NICU nursing experience is essential.
- Advanced Skills Needed: Not applicable.
- Procedures Performed on Unit:
- PIV insertion
- Feeding tube insertion
- Lab draws
- Straight catheterization
- Central line management
- Airway/respiratory management (in conjunction with RRT)
- Assisting RRT/provider with intubation, surfactant administration, central line placement, chest tube placement, etc.
Dress Code
Required uniform colors: Black, grey, or hot pink scrubs.
