ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position is for a highly specialized Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit focused on providing critical care to patients with neurological conditions. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and consists of 12 beds dedicated to delivering advanced medical care.

Job Duties

Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill neurological patients.
Manage patients diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, aneurysms, status epilepticus, strokes, and other severe neurological pathologies.
Utilize advanced medical equipment and practices to monitor and assess patient conditions.

Job Requirements

Current RN License in New York.
A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care ICU setting.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to stay current with knowledge regarding best practices in critical care.
Experience with telemetry required.

Certifications

BLS (American Heart Association)
ACLS (American Heart Association)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
