Position Description

Join our team at a leading healthcare facility dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Emergency Room department.

General Information

• Unit Specifics:
• Number of Beds: 101
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1 for medical cases; up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Staffing: Includes technicians, triage clinicians, and unit clerks available both days and nights
• Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling Requirements: Must work every other weekend. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated as schedules must meet departmental needs.
• Floating Policy: Must be open to floating within all sections of the Emergency Department.
• Patient Experience Requirements: Adhere to AIDET principles, maintain respectful behavior, and keep patients informed throughout their visit.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting or trauma center.
• Prior experience in a high-volume Emergency Department (over 100,000 visits per year) is preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department.
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • CPI
  • NIHSS
  • ENPC

Advanced Skills Needed

Experience with advanced procedures is preferred, allowing for comprehensive patient care in the Emergency setting.

Dress Code

Navy scrubs are required.
