Description

OB Registered Nurse

Job Duties

Provide direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients across varied risk levels, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in labor and delivery. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills and possess the ability to prioritize and solve problems in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to patient and family-centered care. In addition to the primary responsibilities of this unit, employees will be oriented and trained in various competencies and care delivery modes across the OB service. Floating among units to meet the diverse needs of patient volume and acuity is an ongoing expectation for all OB/GYN nurses. A minimum of two years of experience in labor and delivery is required, with operating room and triage experience highly desired.

Job Requirements

Valid RN License (New York only)
Two (2) years of nursing experience

Certifications

BLS (American Heart Association only)
Neonatal Resuscitation required
