Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our float pool. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a very busy ED environment. The RN will primarily be stationed in the Emergency Department, attending to patients, including boarders that may require care across various units, such as medical/surgical, stepdown, and ICU. There may be occasions where the RN will be required to float to an acute care unit as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department and other acute units as required.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical conditions, intervening as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility, preferably in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
