Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting. This role is vital in providing quality patient care and assisting with various cardiac procedures.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 3
• Number of Staff: 8 Full-Time (6 RNs, 2 Techs), 3 PRN (2 RNs, 1 Tech)
• Patient Ratios: 3-4 staff per patient
• Type of Equipment: X-ray, Impella, Penumbra, IABP, various stents, sheaths, wires, guides, and atherectomy tools
• EMR Systems: Hemomerge & Meditech Expanse

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting with various procedures, including:

• Heart Catheterizations (CTO, high-risk PCI)
• Ablations for Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), Atrial Flutter (AFL), Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), and Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC)
• Device Implants (PPM, ICD, Watchman)
• Peripheral Angioplasty with or without Intervention
• ECMO Cannulation
• Thrombectomy Procedures

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Previous cath lab experience is mandatory.
• Preferred Skills: None

Work Schedule

Standard Working Hours: 6:30 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday

On-call Requirements: 24-hour on-call availability during weekends (Friday through Sunday)

Employees are required to wear Caribbean-colored scrubs while on duty.
