Description
Cath Lab Technician – Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab
Shift & Schedule: 06:45 AM – 03:15 PM
Weekly Hours: 48 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Rotating on-call coverage
Requirements:
- RT-R ARRT or RCIS license required
- Knowledge of cardiovascular procedures
- Ability to perform physiological monitoring and intra-procedure testing
- Knowledge of equipment and supplies used during procedures
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique and infection control
Responsibilities:
- Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system
- Monitor heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and oxygen saturations
- Anticipate catheter position changes and communicate patient condition changes to the physician and team
- Perform oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, hemodynamic calculations, and other applicable intra-procedure testing
- Prepare and handle equipment/supplies while maintaining asepsis
- Anticipate and adapt to physician and case needs
- Assist with room setup, patient transport, and post-procedure cleanup
- Follow infection control and sharps safety procedures
- Educate patients on post-procedure monitoring, catheter insertion-site care, and activity instructions

- Expected 40-hour work week with rotating on-call coverage
