Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department float pool. This position primarily involves managing a very busy Emergency Department, with responsibilities that include caring for boarder patients from various units including Med/Surg, Stepdown, and ICU. Flexibility is essential, as there may be occasions where you are required to float to an acute unit as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assess and monitor patients, ensuring their needs are met during their stay.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document all patient care activities and ensure accurate reporting of patient conditions.
• Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized Level 1 trauma facility.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and TNCC are required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in emergency nursing practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
