Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position. This role involves variable shifts, including mid-shifts and night shifts, within a dynamic emergency care environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 11
• Staffing:
• 2 RNs available 24/7
• 1 Paramedic (40 hours/week)
• 1 MD available 24/7
• 1 Radiology Technician available 24/7
• 1 Security Guard available 24/7
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Type of Equipment: GE monitors, Baxter pumps
• EMR: Meditech

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
• Minimum of 1 year current Emergency Department RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
• PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of ENPC
• CPI Blue Card
• Ability to work mid-shift and night shifts
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience as an ER Charge RN
• Willingness to float between different ED departments

Typical Procedures Performed

• EKGs
• IV insertions and medication administration
• Conscious sedation
• Wound care
