Position Overview

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department by applying the Nursing Process in alignment with state regulations and established hospital policies. The role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure the safe delivery of care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in accordance with the Nursing Process and care standards.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care.
• Plan and execute safe patient care interventions in the Emergency Department.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide supervision and direction to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory.
• Must possess an active nursing license in Arizona.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Trauma Level III and Stroke Receiving certified experience is beneficial.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required.

Additional Information

• Shifts are scheduled for nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM (3 shifts per week).
• The facility has a total of 38 beds.
• Candidates must be willing to float to other areas as needed.
• Scrub color is black, and a specific dress code policy is in effect.
