Description

Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care for Labor and Delivery patients. This role utilizes the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and established hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the planning and delivery of patient care.
Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
Licensed to practice in the state of Alabama.
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
No hits on NURSYS.

Work Schedule

This position is for day shifts, specifically from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
