We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. This position plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

General Information

• Unit Name: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 101
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1 for medical patients; can be up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Unit Staffing: Includes Techs, Unit Clerks, and specialized roles in cardiac monitoring and triage
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend; flexible scheduling based on departmental needs
• Floating Policy: May float to different sections of the Emergency Department

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a nurse, with at least 1-year experience in an Emergency Room setting, preferably within a Level II trauma center or high-volume Emergency Department exceeding 100,000 visits annually.
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • CPI (prior to hire)
  • NIHSS
  • ENPC
• Skills: Strong teamwork mentality, flexibility to work in various areas of the Emergency Department, and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback.
