Location: Conroe, TX

• Number of Beds: 30 physical beds, 8 hall beds
• Number of Staff: 77
• Staff Composition:
  • Day Shift: 7A: Charge Nurse, 7 RNs, 1 Paramedic or LVN; 9A: 1 RN; 10A: 1 Paramedic or LVN; 11A: 2 RNs; 12P: 1 Paramedic or LVN; 1P: 1 RN; 3P: 1 RN
  • Night Shift: 7P: Charge Nurse, 8 RNs, 1 Paramedic or LVN
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Type of Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, GE Monitors, Ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, portable EKG machine
• EMR: Meditech

Job Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Perform clinical procedures, including NIH assessments, IV and blood draws, moderate sedation, TNK administration, and cardiac monitoring.
• Collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical records system.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an Emergency Department or similar setting.
• Preferred Skills:
  • TNCC Certification
  • ENPC Certification

Work Schedule

Every other weekend is typically required.

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs are required attire.
