Unit Information

The Emergency Department consists of a total of 30 patient beds and 8 additional hall beds, staffed by a dedicated team of 77 professionals.

General Information

Patient Ratios: 1:4
Type of Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, GE Monitors, Ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, portable EKG machine
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Working Environment

Day Shift Staffing: Charge Nurse, 7 RNs, 1 Paramedic or LVN
Night Shift Staffing: Charge Nurse, 8 RNs, 1 Paramedic or LVN

Typical Procedures

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH)
IV and blood draws
Moderate sedation
TNK therapy
Cardiac monitoring

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
