Position Overview
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, responsible for providing exceptional care to obstetric patients. You will be part of a highly engaged and motivated team dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care in a supportive environment.
Unit Information
- Location: City, State
- Number of Beds: 12 Labor Delivery Recovery (LDR) beds, 5 Ante Partum beds, 4 OB Emergency Department (OBED) beds, 3 Operating Room (OR) rooms
- Staffing: 72 total staff including nursing, Certified Surgical Technologists (CST), and schedulers
- Patient Ratios: 1:2 and 1:1 based on transitions and acuity
- Type of Equipment: Alaris Pumps, CADD epidural pumps
- EMR: CPN and Meditech
- Permanency: Permanent positions available on the unit
Typical Hiring Profile
Qualifications
- Must-have Qualifications:
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- At least 2 years of experience in High Risk Obstetrics (OB)
- Nurses with a minimum of 3 years of experience in High Risk OB
- Current certification in Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)/AWHONN Intermediate EFM
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with High Risk OB including Massive Transfusion protocols
- Familiarity with Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders (PASD)

- C-sections
- Spontaneous Vaginal Deliveries (SVD)
- Dilation and Curettage (D&C)
- Dilation and Evacuation (D&E)
- Twin deliveries with SVD and C-section
- Scheduled and non-scheduled emergent Cesarean Hysterectomies
- Massive Transfusions

The ideal candidate will possess a highly engaged, motivated, and positive outlook. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as teamwork and collaboration are a priority within the unit.
Dress Code
Staff are required to wear sky blue scrubs.

- Designated as a Maternal Level III and Neonatal Level II facility, with aspirations for advanced designations
