Description
Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in a 30-bed Telemetry/Stroke unit, providing quality care for patients with various complex medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care for patients experiencing chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization.
- Provide support and care for stroke patients and those dealing with sepsis.
- Manage care for patients undergoing alcohol and substance withdrawal.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Work Schedule
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, along with holiday commitments during winter.
Patient Care Ratio
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1, allowing for focused care and attention to each patient.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior travel nursing required.
- Stroke experience is mandatory for this position.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
Additional Information
Floating to other units may be necessary based on patient care needs. This position offers a dynamic work environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork.
