Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

Join a dynamic team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) with an emphasis on patient care, collaboration, and integrity. This role involves working in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, treating a diverse patient population with a variety of urgent healthcare needs.

  • Number of Beds: 8
  • Number of Staff: 15
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4

Typical Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Perform procedures including IV placement, bloodwork, Foley catheter insertion, and breathing treatments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Meditech EMR.
  • Previous work in a Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED).

Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

Additional Information

  • Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends (4 out of 8 weeks).
  • Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs.
