Description
Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Intensive Care Unit. In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit, closely linked to the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Observation Unit, specializing in medical and trauma overflow beds.
- Monitor and assess patients, adapting to changing patient acuity and needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Float to other areas of competency as required, ensuring flexibility and teamwork.
- Maintain high standards of care and adhere to best practices and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in an acute care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- TNCC certification is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
Additional Information
Holidays are part of the schedule, and the expected commitment includes either 48 or 38 hours per week over a duration of 8 or 13 weeks.
