Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and have certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The successful applicant will be skillful in operating the MRI machine efficiently, ensuring patient comfort during scans, and coordinating with physicians to ensure timely delivery of results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to remain standing for extended periods are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide effective diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and thoroughly explain procedures to enhance comfort.
• Insert IVs as necessary for the tests.
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Must have experience with GE scanners.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
• Certification through ARRT is required.
• Must have IV injection certification.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist license (must be willing to obtain after starting).

Schedule

This position requires availability from Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6:30 AM, including holidays as needed.
