Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical / Surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Current and valid nursing license. Verification through Nursys is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and any relevant specialty certifications.
• Proficiency in using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Complete and submit work history/resume without any gaps greater than 60 days.
• Provide a skills checklist and professional references.
• Upload demographic information including a badge-appropriate picture.

Common Diagnoses

The Medical / Surgical unit frequently manages patients with general medical-surgical conditions and overflow oncology cases.
